The Pricing Specialist supports initiatives to improve pricing globally, and together with the Global Pricing Manager constantly reviews the pricing processes and pricing levels. The Pricing Specialist works with the Global Pricing Manager to present recommendations and results, followed by actual implementation of the different initiatives.
In collaboration with the Global Pricing Manager, supports the pricing strategies in order to enable Price Setting, Price Optimization, Price Realization and Price Controlling with the ultimate goal to realize margins aligned with the strategic plans.
Creates and runs reports. Responds to ad hoc reporting requests as communicated by the Global Pricing Manager. Supports the sales teams by providing detailed analysis of overall profitability of the customer portfolio.
Maintains pricing performance metrics. Helps put together financial and performance metrics to company leadership. Assists in the preparation of the monthly price increase dashboards.
Performs ongoing master data quality checks and coordinates mitigation to ensure accurate master data at all times. Ensures accurate material, customer and transactional data is loaded. This includes review of data, identification of any issues, and resolution of any issues in collaboration with the Business Area Pricing Teams. Does ongoing spot checks on the Pricing datamart calculated fields to ensure correctness of all pricing related calculations in the pricing software.
Ensures accurate data for the pricing value drivers is populated and take corrective action where needed.
Trains stakeholders on proper pricing data related procedures.
Supports any pricing interfacing requests from the pricing software to other applications (e.g. CRM, BI or Webshop functionality). Participates in communication to the pricing vendor.
Creates User Acceptance Test scenarios for Change Requests and Projects, based on the detailed requirements specifications. Coordinates User Acceptance Testing with the Business Areas.
Unit tests all vendor delivered change requests and projects, as well as internally customized solutions (e.g. new dashboards).
Creates Pricing Training Documentation.
In collaboration with the Corporate and Business Area Pricing Teams, sets the proper Pricing Authorizations model in the pricing software per the agreed on Authorizations design.
Coordinates the ongoing user authorization requests and User Maintenance in the pricing software.
Required Candidate profileQualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
5 years experience preferably in Pricing
Practical knowledge of pricing software applications
Keen attention to detail
Must be well organized and detail oriented
Global mindset and ability to work across global locations in a matrix role
Self-starter with excellent problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and writing skills in English language
